[A young girl comes into focus. She's staring straight into the camera and siting cross-legged on her bed. There's a poster of a guitar hanging behind her.]

Hyokomon, do I have to?

[Offscreen, Hyokomon can be heard saying Yes, you should do a proper introduction. Get to know some of the other Chosen Children. Maya wrinkles her nose briefly, and then smiles for the camera. It's a little over-the-top.]

Hi, my name is Maya Matlin and I'm stuck here like the rest of you. [She drops the smile.] There. Can we be done now?

[There's a sigh from Hyokomon and a I wish you wouldn't be so before the feed cuts out.]

Hyokomon says that spending all my time either with Cam or playing cello "isn't healthy." [Those are airquotes.] That's pretty much what life was like back home, though, with the addition of performing with my band.

Cam is great, like a brother to me. But if I was around him 24/7 I'd strangle him. I'm not the most social guy but your partner isn't exactly wrong either.
