[audio]
[There's a slight pause at the beginning of the audio feed before a monotonous female voice starts talking.]
Identification: EarthConnect, Metals Department, Agent 06-02-F.
Seeking identification of currently assigned overseer. Reason for request: Chain of command is unknown to this agent.
Seeking assignment details. Reason for request: Mission parameters are unknown to this agent.
Seeking in-depth description of already preformed body modifications. Reason for Request: Self Care.
Seeking location. Reason for request: Surroundings unfamiliar, indigenous life appears sentient but is unfamiliar to this agent.
[There's a lengthy pause. The monotone doesn't break.]
Excuse me. If this network is human in nature, please disregard my previous requests. I would, however, like to ask for information on my situation.
Well, that was the weirdest introduction I've ever--
[The audio feed turns off.]

[Somehow the monotone of her voice still manages to carry the mood of 'excuse me, how about no'.]
[Wormmon's voice comes in a whispered tone, but still pretty loud-- he's whispering into the microphone.]
She has a tail!
[audio]
[O-oh no now Wormmon has made him snicker even more]
'M teasing~ I actually do think that's pretty cool. The place I came from was. . . er, relatively normal compared to both this world and what you're describing.
[audio]
I was making the assumption that you were from earth. Was I incorrect.
[audio]
[audio]
The pool of humans who know we have a presence on Earth is remarkably small.
[audio]
[He wouldn't even be debating the possibility if it weren't for Akako, but he knows it's possible for "abnormal," out-of-the-ordinary things to occur in his world. Magical things, science fiction-y things. . . that knowledge, coupled with what this woman had just said only leaves one question in his mind: So does this mean there might be Space Reptiles on his world somewhere too???]
Why's that? Is it some sorta. . . uh, secret mission?
[audio]
[But that's not really all, is it, Bonsai?]
There is also some cultural friction between the Grey Empire and Earth. Most humans in what you would call the 'First World' take issue with some of the... labor and autonomy policies of our overseers. I am not at liberty to say more.
[Was that a hint of... resignation?]
[audio]
But ultimately, your mission is just to establish political ties with Earth, right? That actually sounds pretty smart.
[audio]
Yes. Specifically, to open trading routes for raw materials rarer on one planet than the other.
[audio]
[audio]
[audio]
What's the name of the planet you originally come from?
[audio]
[A pause.]
It's name is Sanctuary.
[audio]
[Unsurprisingly]
[audio]
[audio]
[He sounds genuinely curious. It's not every day you get to talk to someone from another planet.]
[audio]
[Basically, it's home.]
