You know I think six or seven months in one place is the longest I have stayed anywhere besides home. Almost forgot what it was like, traveling to new places and running around them. It was kinda nice.

Not that I don't think this town is neat. Just feels like it took a long time getting here.

[ as usual, Ryudamon and Renamon are close by. and Ryudamon isn't going to let that one go. ]

That would be because you felt like you had to explore everything you could get your hands on.

[ Vixie gives Ryu a little nudge and the dragon makes a face. ]

Well I didn't mind it. I wanted to stay at Tree-Top Isle longer. You wouldn't let us go down.

For good reason! Someone has to be the responsible one here.

[ Sora and Vixie both break out laughing while the other digimon grumbles and tries to contain his grin. after it dies down, Sora gets his arms around his partners' shoulders, looking at the camera. ]

Anyway. We're here now. So I feel like I should catch up with the people that got here ahead of us. We should do something!

Sounds like you're no stranger to being on the move. You travel a lot where you come from?

I lived on the Islands forever. But some stuff happened so me and my friends had to travel to a lot of different worlds. Kinda didn't have time to sit still for too long.

[To... different worlds?! Bee looks down at the D-Terminal in surprise. YOU ARE A LITTLE YOUNG FOR INTERPLANETARY SPACE TRAVEL, YOUNG MAN.]

What happened to you and your friends?

[ OMG NOT YOU TOO!!! ]

We got separated for a while. Our home kind of got sucked into the darkness for a while. It's back now, but it took a while for all of us to find each other and fix it.

[ well. that's roughly it without going into too much. ]

That's a lot to have on your plate for someone so young. [He's well aware of the irony of the numerous Chosen Children being just as young, but all of this sounds like it took place before Sora got drawn into this world.] How old are you and your friends?

Someone else has said that before, I think.

[ and it doesn't bother him. not really. it only bothers him when people think he ISN'T able to do things just because of his age. ]

Me and Kairi are like sixteen. Riku's a year older.

[About Jack's age, in fact. He and Sora speak the same way- with the experience of someone who has had the weight of the worlds on their shoulders.]

[Though, this 'Sora' is a bit more spirited than Jack. Bee doesn't seem to mind at all.]

Guess you could say I'm a fellow traveler of worlds, myself.

[ fortunately or unfortunately, Sora is on pretty good terms with Wheeljack. guy might have said something like that to him once too ]

For the most part.

I was travelling with a large crew at the time. The last leg of the journey wasn't so kind to our ship. The few of us that weren't scattered have been grounded on Earth for some time.

Given the chance to travel again, I'd like to see my home.

[ he'll manage. and boy does this seem familiar. ]

I dunno how long it's been since you've seen it, but I'm sure you'll be able to go back.

Hope so, Sora. We have some things to take care of first, but afterwards, we'll see about finding our way back.

How did you fix your home?

[Because it's a very relevant question to Bee's interests.]

We didn't. Not really. The bad guy that I was fighting with my friends was trying to open this door. He thought it was the door to darkness.

Instead there was light and when it opened, worlds that had fallen into darkness were brought back.

Your world is ... complicated.

[Wait wait. Keys and doors and darkness and-]

Is this another human figure of speech?

[Symbolism, maybe? Because if only things were that easy. To just open a door and have entire worlds be returned to their original state.]

It is pretty complicated. People don't really believe me about it anyway.

[ one of the reasons he doesn't talk about it unless asked. Not out of shame - but having to repeat things over and over again just gets tiring! ]

But nah. It's not a figure of speech.

Not that hard to believe. After all, if they can do the impossible of making humans out of all of us in this world, a world with those things you mentioned? Very possible.

Seems like darkness is bad news no matter what world it's from.

[heartdive]

It'd kinda be nice to see everyone how they are supposed to look at least once. But science... Magic... Weird things. I've just been rolling with it.

[ only because some of that stuff he doesn't understand how it works. so technical and stuff! ]

Darkness is always bad news. But it exists in everyone and where there's one, there's always the other. All it takes, though, is one light to cut through the darkness.

And that's a figure of speech, by the way.

[He nods thoughtfully. Running over what he's been told and what he knows. Darkness in people. But 'where there's one, there's always the other.' Juggling literal and figurative and symbolic and the reality of Sora's world.]

[Tentatively, he texts with a vague understanding.]

Then, you're light.

You and your friends. You were the light for your world.

[ that's met with silence for a moment. then Sora starts laughing a little. ]

Well I think so. Or, I guess, we try to be! And if one of us stumbles a little bit, we always pull each other back on track.

You must be very close with them.

Two of them I've grown up with. The rest? We've been through a lot together.

[Bee understands the kind of relationship they must have. He has very close friends of his own that he's been through many difficulties with.]

When you go through so much, they become more like family.
