You know I think six or seven months in one place is the longest I have stayed anywhere besides home. Almost forgot what it was like, traveling to new places and running around them. It was kinda nice.

Not that I don't think this town is neat. Just feels like it took a long time getting here.

[ as usual, Ryudamon and Renamon are close by. and Ryudamon isn't going to let that one go. ]

That would be because you felt like you had to explore everything you could get your hands on.

[ Vixie gives Ryu a little nudge and the dragon makes a face. ]

Well I didn't mind it. I wanted to stay at Tree-Top Isle longer. You wouldn't let us go down.

For good reason! Someone has to be the responsible one here.

[ Sora and Vixie both break out laughing while the other digimon grumbles and tries to contain his grin. after it dies down, Sora gets his arms around his partners' shoulders, looking at the camera. ]

Anyway. We're here now. So I feel like I should catch up with the people that got here ahead of us. We should do something!

Not that hard to believe. After all, if they can do the impossible of making humans out of all of us in this world, a world with those things you mentioned? Very possible.

Seems like darkness is bad news no matter what world it's from.

It'd kinda be nice to see everyone how they are supposed to look at least once. But science... Magic... Weird things. I've just been rolling with it.

[ only because some of that stuff he doesn't understand how it works. so technical and stuff! ]

Darkness is always bad news. But it exists in everyone and where there's one, there's always the other. All it takes, though, is one light to cut through the darkness.

And that's a figure of speech, by the way.

[He nods thoughtfully. Running over what he's been told and what he knows. Darkness in people. But 'where there's one, there's always the other.' Juggling literal and figurative and symbolic and the reality of Sora's world.]

[Tentatively, he texts with a vague understanding.]

Then, you're light.

You and your friends. You were the light for your world.

[ that's met with silence for a moment. then Sora starts laughing a little. ]

Well I think so. Or, I guess, we try to be! And if one of us stumbles a little bit, we always pull each other back on track.

You must be very close with them.

Two of them I've grown up with. The rest? We've been through a lot together.

[Bee understands the kind of relationship they must have. He has very close friends of his own that he's been through many difficulties with.]

When you go through so much, they become more like family.

[heartdive]

Yeah... It's true.

Just means I got a big family. What about you?

You're wondering about my friends back home?

If you wanna talk about it, yeah.

Some people here are a little... Touchy. So it's okay to say no.

[proveyourmetal]

It's all right. My friends and allies are very important to me. Give me the chance and I might just talk your ear off.

[Though on a more serious note-] Our world hasn't known peace for some time. [A pretty big understatement, actually.] I'm not even sure what peace really looks like.

When fighting alongside my teammates? I can almost imagine.

[heartdive]

I wouldn't mind. Could go on and on about mine forever so it's only fair.

[ and this doesn't surprise him. it sounds like a lot of peoples' homes are in some kind of turmoil. or someone is involved with a different war. there are a lot of sad stories that kind of just pulls at his heartstrings. ]

Don't think you have to imagine very hard. If you could go on and on about them, if they are where your heart is... I think that's actual peace. Peace of heart and mind, anyway.

[Peace of mind and heart. So...spark and processor. Different words, but he gets the meaning. It's an uncommon wisdom that Sora tends to speak with.]

That kind of peace is rare. I suppose we should count ourselves lucky to have it.

I just hope one day, we can have peace beyond that too- peace outside the 'mind and heart'- I wouldn't have to worry about anything happening to them.

I think worrying is just a thing that friends and family do. Even I worry about my friends, even if there's nothing going on.

And I'm sure that your world will find peace too. Dunno how long it will take, but things will work themselves out.

[There are some beliefs that Bee steels himself with, ones that he keeps repeating to himself in his mind as he moves from conflict to conflict.]

[He has to think it'll work out somehow. But sometimes... it just helps to hear it out loud.]

[Well, Bee's been fighting for a long time. In war, people who are determined to do the right thing, the right way are in short supply. He learns to appreciate them when they cross paths.]

Just thinking out loud. Texting, rather.

[Hard to do much aloud when you haven't got a voice.]

You probably make friends everywhere you go.

[ geez, that story might get Sora visibly upset. destroying a perfectly good voice thingie. B( ruuuuude and uncalled for, man.

but anyway. Sora grins at the statement. it's pretty much true... ]

I kinda make it a personal goal to make as many friends as possible. People always need someone that they can talk to and count on, right?

[TOTALLY RUDE. But don't worry, Sora. It was a long time ago, and he gets by. He misses it.

Come to think of it- this conversation is very familiar. It's reminiscent of a very personal one he's had with Leatherhead before.]

It's a good goal.

Friends and allies to keep you grounded in hard times, especially if you start to stray from the right path.
