I know this might sound a little strange, but does anyone know if there's a flower field around here somewhere? It's kind of important.
[The figure on screen shifts slightly, one hand reaching for the rings that hang from a necklace she's wearing. It's a habit she's had for a long while and being in a new world's not going to make it any better. It just might make it worse, but that remains to be seen.
Before she can say anything else, the feed blurs as it's suddenly moved to face the cameramon. The angle is way awkward, because honestly the d-terminal isn't exactly designed for her paws. To make up for it, the DORUmon its filming has a huge toothy grin as she teases her partner.]
Come on! It's your first message and already you've forgotten to introduce us!
[This startles Rinoa from her slightly moody thoughts and she giggles instead.]
I was getting there, you're just too impatient!
Then you're just gonna have to be faster than me next time. ANYWAYS, before I was so rudely interrupted! I'm Dorothy, a DORUmon, and this- [The feed shifts again as the cameramon turns the feed to focus on her partner.] Is my partner Rinoa. Say hi Rinoa!
[Completely railroaded by her own digimon, Rinoa simply smiles and waves cheerfully.]

Allow me to convey my pleasure the best way I know how in regards to women popping up recently in order to rebalance the Oktoberfest of Sausage that had become my life:

[ The announcement comes from a woman with wild pink hair done up in an intricate style of twists pinned in a manner that looked like roses on her scalp. Her eyes a chartreuse so bright they glowed and her white-toothed grin that instantly evoked the image of a shark. ]
'Sup Girly? Welcome to the tea party. The name's Roze. It is no doubt my absolute pleasure to meet you. Via video of course but that'll be remedied in quality at a later date.

I...see. [She really doesn't, at least not exactly. It sounds like it's something about about it being nice to have more women around, maybe? Which Rinoa totally understands, guys can be so tiring sometimes.] What's an Oktoberfest of Sausage?
[Thankfully Rinoa is smart enough to realize that Roze isn't talking literally. It's different, but also endearing and it's not long before she's returning Roze's grin with a cheerful smile.]
Thanks, it's nice to meet you Roze! It'll be nice to know some other girls around here. Didn't realize I've only talked to guys before you until just now. Oh! That's what you meant by an Oktoberfest of sausage isn't it.

Hey! I'm almost 18! At least, I was? Fist there was time compression and now it's world jumping so I'm not even sure about that anymore.
[On second though, getting comfy seems like a good idea if Roze is serious about hearing her whole story. So after a moment's thought she settles down onto her own bed, curling up with the Terminal before even starting her story.]
There's magic where I'm from and technology too, but it's nothing like the stuff here yet.
[She stops then, not really sure what to say.]
You can't really want to hear my whole life story! Is there anything specific you want to know?
It's not that I don't like guys! It's more they're just giant jerks and meanies and sometimes I think I could almost hate him!
[Rinoa sniffs at that, Squall's comment about her making stuff up still stings even now. Though honestly that's not as bad as him not remembering things.]

I just turned eighteen a couple weeks ago. Age is irrelevant. I said delicate, not young, haha. [ The smile stays, though she doesn't look quite as bright mentioning her birthday. When Rinoa says "him" instead of "them", however, her curiosity is instantly piqued. ]
Woah woah woah, hold up, I sense legit girl-talk on the horizon. Who is "him" and what's he a giant jerk for?

[At the delicate comment Rinoa retaliates in the only way she knows how. Naturally this means she sticks her tongue out at Roze. Not that the cheer stays very long, stupid Squall.]
His name's Squall. He's a f- someone I know from back home. He made me a promise once, but now he says he's forgotten all about it. Worse, he thinks I made it all up! I didn't make it up though! It really happened! But no matter what I say he won't listen to me!
[Because clearly that's what Roze wants to hear about right now, Squall being a jerk.]

Yeah, I guess so. Though I'm not sure if I'd trust what they told you, at least not if it's anything like that one guy was saying. [Ah, Neku really did leave a bad impression.] He called me that girl too, but when he said it it sounded like the worst thing ever.
Just like I said. He made me a promise back on our world and now he's acting like it never happened! When I tried to remind him about it he refused to listen and even said he wouldn't put it past me to make the whole thing up! That's what I thought, but that one guy really had it out for me. It was kind of weird. I've never felt so hated by a complete stranger before. Thanks, Roze. Maybe this is all a little weird, but I'm glad we met.
