#01- Arrival [Video, Action in Hospitown]

[The D-Terminal is showing a new face today, and it doesn't look happy. This little Impmon has been lost for a while now.]

Okay, I think I got this thing working. So what's the deal here? One minute we saved the Digital World, the next minute it's all gone to heck and there's a new big bad Digimon destroying everything? What's the deal here? I can't find my friends! I can't even find my partners!

How long was I out for, anyway!?

[He inhales. Sighs. You're gonna be nice, Impmon. You're gonna be friendly and polite. Even though you're mad. You're gonna be nice.

When he talks again, his voice sounds significantly more calm, though still distinctly unhappy.]

Okay, sorry. Sometimes I lose my head. Uh, Guilmon, Renamon, Ai, Mako... heck, I'd even settle for seeing the cream-puff again at this point. If you're out there, let me know.

[His voice immediately takes a hard edge to it again.]

Not that I'm afraid or anything! I just don't want any of you tiny-brained numbskulls gettin' into trouble while I'm not around to watch your back!

[The message ends. Impmon will be exploring Hospitown trying to find a familiar face, but he won't object to meeting a new friend who's willing to help him out!

Well. He may object. But he probably won't actually mind.]

[Impmon spends a really, really long time puzzling and poring over the writing, making increasingly frustrated growls and grumbles of annoyance. Finally, he just flips on the video]

[Primus. This is going to get complicated. One side of the conversation can't speak, and the other can't read. He feels obligated to tell Impmon of Guilmon's presence here, but he has to figure out how to do this first. Too bad Bumblebee's partner takes control of the conversation. What kind of a lazy digimon can't read?

[Bee reacts lightning fast, reaching forward and clamping a hand over his digimon's mouth to hush him. Too bad the damage is already done.]

[... He'd never actually seen another Impmon, come to think of it. But hey, it made as much sense as anything else around here.]

Hang on, 'partners'? [It was one thing for a human to go about with two Digimon around here, but the reverse was something he hadn't heard before.]

[He cracks a genuine- if slightly impish (Hey, whaddya expect?)- grin.]

"Good to know you guys didn't manage to screw anything up too badly without me."

[Any gasps or shock Juri has pushed aside before answering the message, and it's transmitting from a cafe. A cafe in Hospitown.]

Impmon! [She's surprised, but she doesn't sound unhappy to see him.] It brought you here too!

[The voice surprises him, but he quickly takes a look at the video feed. Yeah. It was. It was definitely her.

Oh man. Oh man. What does he even... how does he... oh man. Okay, Impmon. Cool it. You've already made your amends. She's just being friendly.

... And he wasn't sure, but he thought maybe he recognized that cafe she was in. It'd be a lot easier if he could read window signs, but it seemed familiar, anyway.]
