[Hi Terminal. It's Cam. He's sitting in bed, with his left arm elevated by several pillows. It's also in a blue cast, which is elaborately decorated (with room to sign) with wing and arch designs, and some doodles reminiscent of Lucette. Thanks, Neku. Besides that, he doesn't look too bad. A few scrapes and scratches, but not as bad as others.
There's his usual nerves, of course, though.]
Hey, um... Everyone...
With everything that happened, I don't know if you all remember, but I, uh. [What do. :c ] 'm Cam, me and...Iori, my old-- ...one of my old roommates. [Because Hope's gone now too.] We found the Dark Zone that's...on Terminal Island. We kept its location a secret because, ... we thought it'd keep people from running off and getting hurt.
[Like Marley now. How guilty does he feel for having to find out secondhand that she was there? Looks like that thought makes his face scrunch up; he sighs and closes his eyes...then opens them.]
We screwed up. And since she's not here anymore, I...screwed up. I should've told everyone, so we could...try and research, or...something. [How? He doesn't know, he's a pretty stupid kid.] It's in the Underwater Cavern. After what happened before, uh...please don't...rush in, I don't want anyone getting hurt.
[Pause. He reaches forward with his good arm to turn it off, but-- well... It falls back and pulls out his tag and crest from inside his shirt.] ...I don't know who else got one of these crests, or if they got them to work, but mine...it did. They really digivolve our partners again.
[NOW he reaches forward to turn it o-- ........again hesitation. When he speaks now, it's...softer.] My girlfriend, Maya...she's here now, um... f'anyone saw when she arrived, on the feed, uh... if any of my friends want, answers...
[No, no, no he can't say it this publicly. His eyes shift, uncomfortably, and he sighs, and he turns it off.]
AH! I'm Kudo Taiki. Sorry I wasn't able to make it in time to help out with the attack, Server was a bit too large to cross in time.. I'll be leaving some of my friends here, though, to help with the repairs.
[There's an audiable groan from some his digimon in the background.]
But right now, there's a more pressing matter. We've been going through Server, since you guys appeared, and well...There's a castle, infested with hostile digimon. We can't leave it alone, because there are villages on that continent.
[The boy flicks his goggles as if he has an idea.]
So I was thinking, with the amount of you here, would five of you mind helping me scope out the place to get a plan of attack?
Hey guys... I know the title says something different but I really don't think I'll remember it if I delete it, so I'll just keep the series going with this. Also... Masaru's fine and the others are recovering. I'm okay, too. Just need a little bit of rest. A-anyways, I wanted to tell everyone about Dark Fields, since they're really dangerous and if you ever wind up in one you should probably know what you're getting into so that you'll be best able to avoid getting hurt as much as possible. And since I've kind of been in one twice and I'm still moving, I think that makes me sort of the go-to person for this stuff right now.
Basically things come in a couple of waves. At first, there's a bright light and you can't actually see anything. Then it fades, and you get a couple of weird sensations. You won't be able to see anything, but you can feel just fine. Well... kind of. The world feels alien, and you're walking on something that's like glass. It's perfectly smooth so you don't have to worry much about tripping, but there's a weird... tinglyness of the world. It's like it's telling you that everything about you being in there is wrong. If you ever end up in a Dark Field--and please try to avoid that it's really dangerous--use that time to get acclimated to everything. Stuff gets really bad in there, and if you're unsettled by how weird it all is it'll get to you really fast.
After that, you'll start hearing a voice. Both times with me it's been related to something really bad that happened in the past. The Dark Field is trying to hurt your feelings with that voice, but it's harmless and just a voice. Just think about something else or don't let it get to you and it can't do much. After a while it'll go away, and you'll see an orb of light in the distance. Take a deep breath, and use that time to focus--you'll probably be tired or hungry, so that's probably the best time to get something to eat or maybe take a short nap. You can't avoid the orb and it'll come towards you, so don't bother trying to run away. You'll just get tired.
When the orb reaches you, it will show you something painful. What it is is different from person to person, but one thing that's been common is that it cuts you. It's not a deep one, but that means the field isn't playing around anymore--from there any vision you get will be accompanied by something that hurts. Like a nick or a bite. Don't focus on the visions, they're not real. The pain is, though... and so are the injuries.
Well, I think you can tell that much. [He laughs, pointing at one of his bandages.]
Anyways, from there things get worse. It's not just a vision and a tiny thing. It's a lot of visions, and a lot more pain. ...The only advice I can give you is 'don't give up.'
That second time I went in there, there was a big vision at the end, too... but I'm still trying to figure out what it meant exactly, it was just a big pillar of light around a digimon with fiery red eyes blowing everything up... [He trails off, thinking about it for a second before he blinks twice and jerks his head back towards the camera.]
Oh! And it seems that crests might be able to get you out of there! [He holds up his crest to the camera.] Mine's the crest of Tenacity, and it shot part of a rainbow path... another crest from outside connected and gave us a way out. I'm not sure what it means just yet, but it's got to be a really important clue, right? And it healed Guilmon's wounds some, too... and mine--but it didn't seem to do as much to me. I'm really interested in these things, I want to figure out what exactly they can do outside of just help digimon digivolve. If we can call on that when we need it then it could help everyone, right?
Erm... That's all, I guess. Just try to stay out of the Dark Fields, but if you have to go in one, keep in mind that none of it is real but the pain... and you can get through pain if you really put your mind to it!
But aniki! Everyone else got one!
I told you, we don't need one, Agumon! We could already evolve you without some crest!
But you remember what Taichi said way back when! They show something that's deep inside you! Don't you want to know what that is?!
I already know what trait I have deep inside me, Agumon!
Oh... what's that?
Heh heh! Manliness!
... So your crest would be the Crest of Manliness?
... Well, I guess?
... That sounds kind of corny when you say it out loud, aniki...
[sound of a fist impacting with Agumon's skull] Oy! Who the hell asked you anyway?!
Kaldur! Hey! Come here so I can make this announcement.
[He's not on screen, but you can hear Kaldur's voice.]
Yes?
Okay, so, remember how we've been talking about a name for me and you kept suggesting things and I shot them down and eventually you just made me a list of suggestions to read over?
[There's apparently a silent response as Gizamon just presses on.]
Well I think that now that we have a crest[Yes, "we".] That I should decide on a name for real. It only seems right...especially since it feels like less and less digimon around here are going without some kinda name.
Okay. And what did you decide on?
Sedna.
[Still not visible, but you can hear some hesitation in his voice.]
The...Inuit goddess of the sea?
[She's so pleased, she nods.] Sure! You told me she was vengeful and I wrecked some serious vengeance on that Myotismon in the fight. I need a badass name to go with my badass evolutions.
[Kaldur is starting to regret giving her this option. But given her sentience he hadn't felt right just giving her a name. Especially when it turned out she was SO picky. He wonders if Gizamon remembers the rest of that myth he'd shared with her.]
If you are certain. Somehow, the name does seem to suit you.
Hell yeah!
