They say this place is both the Real World and the Digital World-- but I'm wondering what exactly constitutes the "Real World" in this place.

[A loaded statement for a first post, but Hope's got a lot of questions and little answers.]

One would assume it's the world we come from, but it's very obviously not from the looks of this place. I spent my first couple of days searching and researching, though the scripts are unfamiliar to me, thus I'm unable to read the texts at all.

I'm not a philosophical person by any means [actually it was one subject he had trouble wrapping his head around back in school] so I apologize for all the deep thinking. I just have a lot of questions that have no answers-- which I imagine is the norm when arriving here.

My name is Hope Estheim, by the way. Good morning.

You need to stop thinking too much.

[The speaker of that particular line is nowhere to be found, but Hope looks down, somewhere at his feet, and well. His partner is off-screen, obviously.]

I like thinking, actually.

[Masaru's D-Terminal seems to activate in the middle of something loud and violent, as the sound of crashing and screaming can be heard just before it clatters to the ground]

-what the hell is your problem?!

[the voice crying out sounds strangled and weak, like someone whose been on the receiving end of a beating. Masaru's voice cuts in soon after]

My problem?! YOU'RE MY FREAKING PROBLEM! You think you can insult me, Daimon Masaru, and get away with it?!

Aniki! Stop! He just said it was funny that a human would want to fight with a digimon!

FUNNY?! FUNNY?!

[there's a flash of static as the audio comes on, due to Masaru stepping on the D-Terminal. You get a worm's eye view of Masaru looming over it, facing Agumon and standing near a Tailmon that lays prone on the ground]

You're my partner! HOW DARE YOU DEFEND HIM, YOU LITTLE TRAITOR! AFTER EVERYTHING WE'VE BEEN THROUGH, YOU'RE OKAY WITH PEOPLE MOCKING US?!

Aniki, that's not what I'm saying! I just-

[Agumon doesn't get a chance to finish what he's saying before Masaru lashes out, striking the Dinosaur digimon violently across the snout. Agumon falls to the ground, looking stunned]

Never talk to me like that again, understand?!

Aniki...

[Masaru turns away, and skulks out of frame. Agumon and the other digimon just sit there, stunned, before the latter just turns and runs off into the darkness. Agumon just sits there quietly, until he notices the D-Terminal and scrambles over to turn it off.

The feed cuts out]
