So, obviously we've got a big battle coming up. [Yeah, that was stupid, great start Luke]I just...know there are a lot of people here who have never done anything like this before. And apparently the digimon are meant for this sort of thing, but they've also been waiting for us. So if we all just got here, most of them have probably never actually fought themselves before, right?
I think maybe we should all try to train together at least a little bit while we still have the chance? So everyone has at least some experience under their belt. The digimon will probably be doing most of the work, I guess, but even they could probably benefit from some sparring, right?
Yeah right, I don't need to train. I'm ready to fight now!
But have you ever fought anything like Beemon before? They looked a lot [stronger] bigger than you.
S-so what?
[It is seriously not a good sign when Luke is the one talking sense into you, Coronamon.
Luke sighs and turns back to the camera. His serious expression turns to more of a smile.] Well, a little bit of training always helps my pre-battle nerves, so I guess I'll be doing so anyway, if anyone wants in.
Will you quit it? Everyone has worse things to worry about, no one's going to listen!
Shut up, if there's one constant to the universe, it's that people will love to talk about themselves.
[The sound quality becomes a lot clearer as one of them wins the struggle, and Alex addresses everyone!]
Distracting everyone from the swarm of angry killer bees or whatever they are for a moment, I have a more important discussion. I was recently talking with a guy who seemed to come from a world where the American rebellion succeeded. Which, I'll grant, if there's truly an infinite number of possible worlds, then completely daft ones like that must exist too. But then I realized, if there's truly an infinite number, a superficial difference like a country is far too tiny, there should be much more difference.
If we're 'chosen', then we must be chosen for a reason, and if we hail from similar worlds, that might be a part of it. I think if we hear about what worlds everyone comes from, we might be able to find a commonality to lead us to the solution to the problem that brought us here in the first place. So, what kinds of worlds do you all hail from? Talk about them, it's actually important.
Do you have to be that wordy about it?
Quiet, you.
[And with that, the audio cuts out.]
Daisuke, I turned the D-terminal on like you asked
[Daisuke blinks and then catches the ball as it bounces up.] Huh? Right. Hey guys. I know a lot of you are worried about the Beemon coming and the Digital Field stuff. But it's gonna be okay. We've gotten through tougher scrapes than this with fewer people. You guys are actually lucky that there are so many of you to depend on each other. I know it's hard to believe, but I promise that if you guys work together you can do anything. Especially if you believe in your partner.
[He looks down at the ball in his hand. He spins it around a few times and then smiles slightly.]
But, what I really wanted to say is thank you for volunteering to go find Taichi. He's an important friend of mine and I know you guys don't really know him all that well and your new to this...but it's just great that you guys are willing to help.
[He bows his head gratefully.]
Don't worry, I plan on returning the favor. If some of you guys are going to help bring Taichi back, then I'm going to stay here and make sure that we have enough fire power when those Beemon arrive. [He grips the ball, there's a determined look on his face.] I know that's what Taichi would want me to do. Let me know what you guys need, okay?
