All right, hands up if you're a "Chosen Child" who is actually over 18 years old and not actually a child. Metaphorical hands. Please don't actually raise them, you won't do anyone a lick of good here. So far as I can tell, this place is far too insane to be run by children and would be some kind of prank if Kera wasn't some kind of... talking... squid... thing. Still not sure what the hell, by the way.

Also: need suggestions and directions to good places for dinner. If I'm going to be stuck here, I am not going to live off bits and bytes and takeout, all right? Not happening.

[The camera shakes for a moment as the video comes on, and at first it's showing the muzzle of a lion cub so close his breath is fogging up the lens.]

Okay, it's on, Rider!

Is it? Is there a light or something that shows it?

...It's right here, but it's already recording, so now we both look kinda stupid...

[Leormon points out the light with his paw, and Rider just laughs.]

That just means they'll have something to remember us by, cub!

I told you not to call me that! Now introduce yourself already so we can turn this thing off and I can keep at least a shred of my dignity!

...You remind me of Waver.

[Rider shrugs as Leormon ducks out of frame, and turns to look into the camera lens. He's kinda hunched over, because otherwise he won't nearly fit in the shot.]

Leormon said I should introduce myself to all of you other Chosen. My name is Iskander, but if it's easier to remember you can all just call me Rider. ...Actually how about all of you call me Rider, I got used to that after a while, and I'm not exactly a King here.

[ooc: Characters who'd be likely to recognize the name "Iskander" and equate it to Alexander the Great are welcome to reference any historical records~]

[Yu is sitting on his apartment's couch, papers spread out over the coffee table. As well as a few origami animals. Mostly cranes, but a few other simple designs too. He taps a pen against his chin a few times before speaking.]

So, I was talking about trying to set up patrols awhile back. But the SCOPE virus and all that kinda crashed in and pushed things back a few months. I know a lot of people were interested though.

[He points his pen at a city and local area map on the table- parts of it filled out due to people exploring outside the city, and info from local digimon.]

Ideally, what I'm thinking is three separate layers. One here inside the city itself. This would most likely be younger Chosen, and those with jobs that can't invest a lot of time but still want to help. After the virus it's clear we have to keep an eye on ourselves, not just outside attacks.

[He moves the pen to the edge of the city]

Next layer is a parameter patrol, to give us some warning if we're under attack. Hopefully with fast or ride-able partners, since we've already seen that our D-T network can be shut down from outside, so we can't depend on it to spread word.

[The pen moves again, outside the city to Primary Village]

Third layer is the one we need the most but are least likely to get: a loop of the nearby villages and Locomon Terminals. So far we've depended on Sakuyamon or the original Chosen to warn us about outside threats. But we can't assume that will always be the case. But... I understand that would mean people being outside the city for days at a time... with wild digimon that might not be the friendliest. As much as I hate to say it, this will probably have to wait until things 'at home' are more secure.

Speaking of which, while I'm not looking to start anymore projects, the city DOES have a lot of mess that still needs to be cleared away. If anyone is looking to find others to team up with to help the recovery, feel free to speak up here.

[He chews on his pen, a tiny bit of stress finally showing on his face... only to be tossed away with a smile]

Oh! As for the newcomers, welcome! My name is Yu Narukami and I know this all has to be pretty confusing, so if you have questions I can try to help. I haven't been here as long as some others, but every little bit helps, right?

[As the camera cuts on it's in the middle of a rocky, mountainous region. There is a Kyubimon, as opposed to the usual red of Guilmon, but the green scarf is a dead giveaway.]

Good day to you, contract holders, contracted, and dark partners alike. I, Kyubimon, wielder of the Dark Flame have returned once more to speak to you all.

We have sensed a disturbance in the ether, and as a result have decided to travel beyond the horizon in order to find the ethereal palace. This journey is perilous, filled with dark forces and mystical powers unlike any mortal minds can comprehend.

But fear not, for I shall protect you, even if I must unleash the cursed power contained beneath my scarf. I swore long ago...

K-Kyubimon... [Ed pats the digimon on the head, giving her A Look.] Really now, do you have to make everything so... dramatic?

Things are more interesting this way. Has Ryudamon returned as well?

Nah, she's still foraging. [Ed turns to look at the camera.]

A-anyways, whatever weird thing Kyubimon was saying it's probably not accurate. Me and Rin just decided to have a look around the island, and we'll probably be back before too incredibly long. I have a lot of experience with this stuff so you don't need to worry about coming with.

...And even if you were going to, I kind of already left because I don't think I could lead an expedition and you guys are kind of so friendly that I know you'd try and make an expedition out of it. [He bows.]

And just so we're clear I'm not saying that because I'm anti-christmas! And anyone who accuses this good Jewish girl of not loving Christmas is gonna get their halls decked!!!

Now that we have that out of the way! It's time I introduce myself to you knew chosen! I'm the resident psychiatrist, head shrinker and all around therapist in town! If you need someone to talk to? As for Holiday spirit, lemme tell you one of my favorite Christmas memories. Me and my best friend Ivy had this one year where we got to go out on a shopping spree with one of the richest blue bloods in town! He was so good to us! Bought us everything we wanted without so much as a word!

And we ended the night with a MASSIVE Christmas tree. It was magical, it was fashionable and most importantly? It was with my best friend in the world!

As the weather gets chilly and bitter let's all find someone special to snuggle up to. Partners, other chosen. We're all family here and Christmas is about family!
