The footsteps stop. There’s silence for a few moments, and then some scratching as fingers run over the comm’s microphone. A softer brushing, as hair goes over it; she put it up to her ear. A few more curious taps with her fingers, and then the post ends. The text function is next.]

[Finally, the video flips on. A pair of bright, bright, big blue eyes are blinking curiously at the communicator. The frame tips up to show straw-yellow bangs, and then up towards the ceiling. After a moment it swivels down to the ground, showing a pair of black Mary Janes. It swivels again up a young girl’s body, showing her to be wearing a Gothic Lolita-esque dress in shades of white, black, and red. It comes to rest on her face, but the shot is upside-down.
Seeming to realize this, the girl flips the comm right-side-up. She tilts her head to one side, her long blonde hair falling over her shoulder. And now that it’s out of the way, one small, white wing is visible behind her back.
Suddenly, she looks very distressed; her eyes widen very noticeably, and her brows furrow. Now a pair of wings are very visible behind her; they’re standing straight up, twitching as if with agitation. Her lips press into a thin line, and then she turns the camera away from her, giving a panoramic view of where she is; she’s she's standing in front of the table, and her Digivice is still on it. She hasn't read the welcome message, sadly, so she literally has no idea what's going on. Her digimon is, also, strangely absent.
The young girl turns the camera back to her, and her face is so obviously pleading. The recording times out on that face.]
L-Look here, whovever's listening! You can't just throw me in some kind of weird world and expect me to participate! You'll all pay! I'll call the police, they won't stand for this! Kidnapping an idol is way worse than just kidnapping some ordinary girl! I'm sure of that!
[ Her gaze shifts downwards for a minute or so, and another voice can be heard, though it's face cannot. ]
My Lady, please calm down. You aren't in any danger and you haven't been kidnapped by a person...
[ She scoffs at it, and turns back to the feed, refusing to respond. ]
While I'm at it, why won't this thing stop following me? It's not cute at all! It'll ruin my image! Is it supposed to be some kind of weird pet or something? It keeps on telling me that I have to stay here to save something, but I'm not a hero! I just want to go home... Ryuugu Komachi needs me.
This is Commander Shepard hailing SSV Normandy.
[Pause.]
Come in, Normandy.
[Pause.]
Goddammit, Joker, where the hell are you?
[Pause.]
Wait. Where did--
[In the background, there is faint shouting.]
Shit, Monodramon, what did you do?!
[The feed clicks off.]
Alright Hic, you're the one who's savvy with the techo-gizmos and what not. Is this thing on?
[There's a pause and a little shaking as the D-Terminal swaps hands- rather, Hiccup has to practically yank it out of Gomamon's claws.]
It looks like it's on. And I told you, I....I've never seen anything like this before. Not on Berk at least..
[He holds the little device gingerly and at a distance so he and Gomamon can actually be visible. Gomamon is sitting on Hiccup's head pretty much, with his flippers almost flopped over into his face.]
Great! Now can I hold it, pleease? Nobody can see me from way up here!
Hold on a sec Gomamon. I wanted to- hey! No, wait--!!
[Suddenly there's a rush of colors and then a burst of static and a loud rattling noise as the D-Terminal collides with the ground. Faint bickering can be heard, and if anyone is still paying attention they might catch a glimpse of Hiccup's feet- er, foot- before he has a chance to pick the device back up, quickly looking it over for damage.]
Aaaugh, at this rate I'm going to be the only one with half working devices..
Hmph. Not my fault you're clumsy.
[Hiccup sighs heavily and looks back at the screen, trying to ignore Gomamon.]
Look, does anyone know what we're exactly supposed to...do next? Because I'm obviously not getting much help here.
Hey! You watch your mouth kid, or I'll give ya somethin' to complain about!!
Well, now that I've gotten a basic tour, I think it's about time I introduced myself. I'm Commander Jin Uzuki, but please, don't let the military title intimidate you. I like to think I haven't completely lost touch with civilian life.
*His shoulder tilts a bit as a blue digimon scrambles up to perch on his shoulders.*
And I'm Veemon! Just Veemon, though, I don't have any fancy titles.
*Jin chuckles and proceeds as if his partner hadn't interrupted.*
As unusual as these circumstances are, I hope I can get along or at least cooperate with everyone here. We do have the same goal after all...or so I'd hope, anyway.
Oh, and one last thing. If anyone here is familiar with the name Miltia, I'd like to hear from you.
Okay, let's cut to the chase (you know, which would be funnier if I had my speed): it'd be really great if someone could explain to me why I don't have my superspeed anymore. It's kinda hard to be Kid Flash without the flash, you know? Like, I get that I'm in some sort of alternate dimension or something, but I still had superspeed in that pocket dimension with Doctor Fate, so c'mon, what's the deal here.
It's seriously cramping my style, and I feel really weird. Well, I guess normal. Which is weird. For me. I don't feel like I have to eat every five seconds and it kinda feels like time is passing way too fast. Which probably sounds a bit backwards, but believe me, it's not. When you used to be able to run at the speed of sound, the rest of time passed by pretty slow.
So. Anyone? Any brilliant ideas? Already ruling out magic by default because it doesn't exist, so. Anything other than that would be helpful.
Kid Flash out.
[End feed.]
When she finally notices it, she blinks curiously.]
Oh, Lopmon...what does that mean?
[The video moves a little, and the rabbit-like Digimon's face appears right under hers. He looks into the screen thoughtfully, then looks up at her.]
The...video feed...?
[Even though the video isn't directly focused on her, anyone who's paying attention will notice her eyes widening.] E...e-everyone's...?
[The young woman gives a small squeak, and suddenly the video is shaking once again. Blurred images of the ground, the sky, any nearby scenery flash by in rapid succession as though the camera was spinning.
There's a brief flash of Lopmon approaching before the camera is once again steadied, focused on the ground as his feet touch down. The video shakes a little more as the device is turned over, and there's a sheepish smile on Lopmon's face when it comes back into view.]
[He glances back towards his partner; though his head takes up most of the screen, a little farther back are a pair of eyes staring back at him, peaking over a curtain of light-yellow feathers.
Lopmon sighs.]
