[The video feed snaps on. In it you can see the Xros Heart General in the middle of a fight, with a floating isle, a large leopard digimon, and Omegashoutmon.]

Guys I am gonna keep this short. We just found that there is a titanic force coming your way! We’re a bit tied up at the moment, but we’ll get there as soon as possible.

[The feed cuts out with a loud thunk.]
I must say, I am impressed, my dear Chosen Children. You managed to shut down the Dark Fields of a program gone berserk. Conquered the castle of a digimon with smaller plans then his intelligence. Successfully defended your city for the forces of those that would lay siege to...well your everything.

[A pause as the giant digimon gives them a small, maybe even slightly sarcastic round of applause. Like that of a Police Captain getting promoted to Commissioner after arresting a killer clown with the help of a crazed man in a bat costume.]

And to think, you did it without those you were meant to be partner with.

[Titamon lets out a hearty laugh.]

So let me ask this of you, my dear Chosen Children.

Do your digivices have Manpowered INC. emblazoned on the back of them?

You!

[A much smaller Digimon approaches now, zooming toward the giant. A more familiar one as well.]

At last, Titamon, I’ve found you. What are you doing here, monster?

[Strange. They don’t seem to be friendly.]

Well, well, well, if it isn’t the little pawn of those little warmongering, tyrants. I’m surprised they let you off your leash. Or is more, that they don’t need you anymore?

[Another laugh, this time, though this time there was no joviality in him. It was the laugh of someone about to relish something impure. And hatred. About a metric ton worth of hatred.]

Leave, and tell your master he’s next, if you value your core.

[With that, his bone sword was embedded deep into the earth, as he cracked his knuckles.]

Or are you foolhardy enough, to tread against that which your frivolous devotion fears to?

[Though she does not retreat Lotusmon appears a little more wary.]

I am not a pawn. I am my master’s loyal servant, and you could never destroy him!

[She grips her Caduceus with a glare.]

What are you doing here? Trying to appeal to the worthless Chosen? They can’t even keep order among themselves...though I suppose for a creature such as yourself that’s ideal, isn’t it?

[Like the snakes on her staff, her words drip with venom.]

You wouldn’t be able to grasp what I am doing until I have your digicore, breaking in my hand. But I’ll give you a hint.

This is more of an experiment than anything. What would my dear, loveable chosen do, if they were to find out there beloved partners were mere shades of who they were suppose to be with?

Would they collapse on themselves? Would they band together? Or would they just not give a fuck?

[The hatred digimon snapped his fingers.]

Koou Meijin.

[And from the skulls on his arms, two small armies appear, one going towards the city, the other towards Lotusmon.]

Talk like this world and your mental capacity, is phantasmal. Back it up, pawn or scurry home.

If you can escape that is.

[She gasps, swinging her Caduceus and letting out a black aura to push back the army.] You…! You’re going to ruin everything, you disgusting-- I won’t let you soil my the plans of my masters!

[More and more blasts fire at the approaching undead army, yet they don’t die down.]

Amethyst Wind!

[A shower of cherry blossom petal begins falling, and a new figure emerges with a veritable army of digimon behind her. It’s Sakuyamon, and although she’s holding herself as regally as ever, something about her seems barely held together.]

I think you shall find, Titamon, that the chosen are much more resilient than we have given them credit for. And your experiment may very well be your own undoing, as now each of them has twice the power that they did before. [She turns, not addressing Titamon anymore.] Go. Find your chosen. I will buy you time.

[There’s something slightly wild and very determined about Sakuyamon now, as she turns. Then, with everything left in her, she launches herself at Titamon. It’s not an attack that’s meant to bring down Titamon, merely one that’s meant to buy a little more time.]

Fox Drive!

Tch, another fool.

[The attacks hit the giant as he pulled his blade out the ground.]

Begone. Konpaku Shingeki

[And with that, Titamon unceremoniously slices at Sakuyamon, the blade bypassing everything, and going for her core, if she does not get out of the way.]

You will not win against them.

[It’s strained, and Sakuyamon moves but not fast enough. The blade catches her, causing enough damage that she passes out. And then Sakuyamon gets punted into the city by a giant green foot.]

[It’s obvious things are going down, what with Taiki’s short but sweet post to the city. And with Koushirou out of the city for some “urgent business”, it’s up to Jyou to step up and take charge!

Sort of.]

H-Hey everyone! I’m Jyou if...you’ve never met me before. I help Koushirou, Taiki-san, and Hikari-chan with things, but I don’t think that’s--That really isn’t the important thing here!

[He takes in a deep breath before adjusting placement of his glasses on his nose.]

I think it’s best if we set the Meeting Hall up as a shelter. And maybe a medic station? If what Taiki-san is true, then people and Digimon...there’s a high probability that they’re going to get hurt. Gomamon and I will make sure that everything is ready. You know, just in case the worst should happen.

[His hand comes up to remove his glasses, the same hand then pinching the bridge of his nose as his eyes drift close.]

Let’s just hope that the worst doesn’t happen.

[Jyou’s glasses are replaced on his nose before he cuts the feed.]

[[OOC: All further interactions can be found here.]]
Hello my fellow Chosen, it seems as if we're in quite the situation now. First of all, let me just say if you bring up anything I said to you during that entire period of shifty behavior so help me, I'll stuff your body into locker for weeks. I think it'd be great if we all just moved forward from that and let bygones be bygones because now we've got a greater threat on our hands. More importantly, remember Chosen that it was your partner who stood by your side and tried their best to look out for you while all of this was going on. So before you consider whether or not their sincerity is valid, you should think over the past few weeks and decide for yourself.

[ Lunamon is in the background with her eyes wide with tears. Clearly she's overwhelmed by the true kindness that her Chosen has kept under wraps, though those who have gotten to know Rin lately might wonder if it's just a side-effect of her recent change in personality. ]

If that boring sentimental message already caused you to cut the call, good. You're the type of Chosen this place doesn't need--but for the rest of you, I have more to say. I have been investigating the Scope Virus Digimon to the best of my ability and after speaking with the caretaker at Primary Village--[ She pauses to look over her shoulder. ] Lunamon, go there now, just as we planned.

--But Rin! [ The moon Digimon squeaks with concern. ] I, I don't want to leave you now that you've accepted me as your partner!

Lunamon, we promised that we would help out. We rely on each other, but we also have our own strengths alone. [ It seems this is a talk they have often as she appears to be reminding her partner. ] I'll be safe here with Coronamon, but don't you think for a moment I'm abandoning you. [ It works, as Lunamon takes off to leave Rin to resume her conversation with the network. ]

As I was saying, Digimon who are associated with the Scope Virus don't return to Primary Village as eggs. We've seen how Digimon are here so isn't it cruel to be mercilessly slaying them left and right? Well, I'm sure it hardly matters to most of you, but for some of us who like to remain a little humane, the alternative of capturing them is preferred. We do have a jail and furthermore it'd be easier to understand what we're up against if we can analyze them a bit better. I'm not hinting at torture, but if it comes down to it... well, sometimes you have to play dirty to get the information you need. [ Please, someone bring her an infected Digimon to toy around with sometime. ] More importantly, I'm sure you're wanting to know if what that monstrosity said was true, huh?

The test results are in and while these Digimon that have been brought to the city are assembled differently than the ones we've come to known, it's difficult to tell whether or not that makes them anymore real... [ It's frustrating to admit that out loud. After all the work she's spent in understanding the Digimon here, it turns out she was wrong? Now she's going to have to study them extensively some more. ] Well, it's not so much they were assembled differently, but perhaps acclimated due to different conditions? Well, I'd be glad to tell you the specifics should you find time to discuss it during all of this chaos.

[ OOC: Here is your handy IC excuse to know this information! While Rin can't say she knows why or who damaged them, she can make pretty good guesses that this boasting jerk knows a thing or two about it. ]
[After the dust has settled from Titamon's attack, an audio post pops up. It comes from Ryan's D-Terminal, however the voice doesn't quite sound like him. The words are carefully formed and clear, like usual, but they seem to have taken on a slightly otherworldly tone. For people who come from worlds with spells, it might seem a little like the recitation of one. That's because it kind of is.]

If we shadows have offended, think but this and all is mended: that you have but slumbered here while these visions did appear.

And this weak and idle theme, no more yielding but a dream, gentles, do not reprehend: if you pardon, we will mend. And as I am an honest Puck: if we have unearned luck, now to 'scape the serpent's tongue we will make amends ere long - else Puck a liar call.

So, good night unto you all. Give me your hands if we be friends, and Robin shall restore amends.

[In his own world, the words might have carried some kind of weight on the plot. Ryan's more than aware none of his powers work and his words are nothing more than pretty here, but he figured that there wasn't a faster way to issue a blanket apology and also maybe. Make everyone see that it's better to be friends. They all need to be friends again.

It's a Disney thing, okay?]

[Want to know what sucks?

Dying in a big ass battle. Actually what sucks more than that?

Dying in a big ass battle by falling off a giant bird.]

[Anyway that's not important, because Whirl is awake and not dead. And his nice dead body was brought to the shelter or unless someone else moved him he's still there, and Primus everything still hurts how do humans even stand this? He manages to actually get his Terminal turned on and he says one thing.]

... There has to be some sort of. Thing, for a helicopter to get killed by falling off a bird.

[Seriously, that all he has to say. For now, of course he can't go anywhere so for anyone who doesn't want to yell at him over the Terminal? He's easy to find.]
