[ The D-terminal is being held rather shakily. The room looks rather familiar, in fact it's actually taking place in the library. There was a giant pile of books sitting on the table, papers strewn about, and notebooks opened up to random pages. The owner of the D-terminal is not actually the voice that appears. ]

Hello there, Chosen ones. Today we are investigating a rare and temperamental Grumpymon in one of his natural habitats away from home. As you can see by the paper all around and the books piled up, this Grumpymon is hard at work. Lets see what he is doing.

[ Kudamon shakily moves the video to show a closer look at some of the papers. Like this interesting paper right here. Theres lots of things scribbled down on other papers. Lots of sticky notes, high-liters, and colorful tabs sticking out of books to keep his place in them. ]

As you can see, the Grumpymon is doing a lot of research for what I am not certain. He can be a pretty mysterious--

Kudamon what are you doing?

[ The video shifts around showing a Pawnchessmon sitting across from the table reading his own book. Then it shifts up to show Squall standing there with a raised eyebrow and his hand on his hip. ]

Who me? O-oh nothing. I'm just looking at your D-terminal....

[ Squall rolls his eyes and grabs the D-T and turns it off. ]

[The feed starts with Saori and Kiyomi, her Gaomon, in the kitchen behind that cafeteria. Guren's holding onto the D-Terminal.]

I don't get it, Saori. Isn't still too early to be making stuff for this Christmas holiday?

Yes, Guren but it's a test run. I have to admit it's been a while since I made this sort of stuff and for a lot of people on top of that. And hey, you should've told me this was recording!

[She clears her throat.]

Yes, I'm planning on making hot cocoa mixes for everyone. I do have a few possible flavors like peppermint, spiced and even caramel and sea salt. Let me know if you have a preferred flavor, want to request something I didn't mention and/or if you want extra marshmallows or not.

Oh, speaking of marshmallows, they should be ready to cut now. Kiyomi, can you get the powdered sugar mixture we used earlier?

Sure thing, Saori! [She gets off the kitchen stool and walks off screen. A few seconds later, she can be heard and there's a sudden clatter and gasp. WHOOSH! A huge cloud of white flies up and covers even the D-terminal screen. Saori can be heard coughing as Kiyomi apologizes many times and a human hand reaches over to wipe the screen clean. ]

For everyone who has just arrived recently, I'm Saori and it's very nice to meet you all.

[The feed cuts on, showing one scruffy, somewhat scraggly, and slightly worn out Kratt. He's been working on the city every day and tonight, decided to sit around on the network afterwards.]

Hey Hiccup if you're around, maybe after all this is over with we can finally sit down and look at that notebook you've got? So far I've noticed a lot of Digimon are similar to all the creatures I studied back home, and I'd really like to see if that trend continues.

[He rubs his chin in thought- looks like a couple fingers have bandaids around them -and then looks back at the camera with a little gesture.]

And anyone who's had a partner digivolve, I'd like to know what their normal stage is and what they digivolved to? I'm just trying to figure out a couple things for myself regarding the process. [Let's face it, for a biologist like him the whole thing was a little nonsensical, but cool, and he wanted to see if he could figure it out.]

Thanks ahead of time, to anyone who replies! [And he reaches forward to cut the initial feed- wait it looks like that wrist is wrapped up in some kinda brace-?

[Believe it or not, it's not Duo who appears on the screen. Nope, it's a Solarmon and he looks a little confused and worried.]

I probably wouldn't ask this, but I'm completely at a loss.

[Somehow, the screen is shifted to focus on a closed bedroom door. The Solarmon's voice pipes back up.]

How do you make your Chosen come out when they've locked themselves in their room?

[Yup, that's the post. Duo has locked himself in his room and won't come out.]

I know this might sound a little strange, but does anyone know if there's a flower field around here somewhere? It's kind of important.

[The figure on screen shifts slightly, one hand reaching for the rings that hang from a necklace she's wearing. It's a habit she's had for a long while and being in a new world's not going to make it any better. It just might make it worse, but that remains to be seen.

Before she can say anything else, the feed blurs as it's suddenly moved to face the cameramon. The angle is way awkward, because honestly the d-terminal isn't exactly designed for her paws. To make up for it, the DORUmon its filming has a huge toothy grin as she teases her partner.]

Come on! It's your first message and already you've forgotten to introduce us!

[This startles Rinoa from her slightly moody thoughts and she giggles instead.]

I was getting there, you're just too impatient!

Then you're just gonna have to be faster than me next time. ANYWAYS, before I was so rudely interrupted! I'm Dorothy, a DORUmon, and this- [The feed shifts again as the cameramon turns the feed to focus on her partner.] Is my partner Rinoa. Say hi Rinoa!

[Completely railroaded by her own digimon, Rinoa simply smiles and waves cheerfully.]

Hi!

Everyone needs to stop acting weird right now!

[The words come out with a snappiness and roughness unusual for Guilmon's usual attitude. He looks at the camera with his eyes narrowed, snout wrinkled, and teeth bared. His tail swishes, and he growls.]

If you don't, then Guilmon will have to stop you! Guilmon won't even hold back!

[He flexes his claws and rears his head back. A red burst of fire flies out of his mouth and off screen.]

I don't even need my Tamer to do that. Guilmon is strong! Guilmon can be just as good as all you partners who have your Tamers. Guilmon can...

[He winces, and for a moment his fiery demeanor fizzles into smoke. His eyes dilate back to their normal look, and his voice becomes more of a whimper.]

Guilmon doesn't like this...

[But it's a moment short lived. His pupils become slits again, he roars, and the feed abruptly ends.

Seems the virus has hit more than you Chosen.]

Looks like this place is doing something really annoying. I'm testing it out at large. Who here can read this? If we can't all communicate this is going to be a real pain.

[It's written in English, and following that, a feed comes up...and it's not Terra talking. Instead, it's Gotsumon. Strangely, everyone should find they can understand the little guy.]

Testing, um. Testing! Can you hear me? Terra can understand other Digimon, but not some of the other people. Can everyone understand me? Is that right?

Yeah, that's fine.

[Shiki looks kind of exasperated, but she's still smiling.]

< I was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me borrow their partner for tomorrow. I wouldn't ask, but Lalamon seems to think me being unable to communicate with customers that aren't digimon is funny and is refusing to help me. >

[It's all said in bright and sunny Japanese. She's not that great at English,, and her partner is nowhere to be found. From somewhere off-camera, Lalamon can be heard.]

I told you: if you're that worried about it, then just don't go into work until this gets fixed. It'll be over in a couple of days.

[Shiki's looking away from the camera at Lalamon. She seems angry.] < No! I'm not taking off again just because you're a digijerk. >

Digidumbass.

[Shiki makes a frustrated noise, and the feed cuts.]

 [Oh look it's Yu! The camera is close in on his face, and after a moment backs up. He's in a hallway, and Elecmon is probably holding the DT.]

Is it running?

I-i think so?

Okay, good I was wanting to ask if anyone has figured out this sudden language barri-!?
